Uhhh... the San Diego County Fair (formerly the Del Mar Fair) was held back in July, but apparently I didn't edit any of my pictures. *smacks hand* But seeing as how I promised people that I'd share pictures, I'm doing that anyway. =P I have TONS of pictures of the flowers (always pretty) and some of people. The cheerleaders you might see are friends of mine who were paid to dress as they did... pretty damn good money, too. =D It was fun.
(Looks like these pictures will be posted in clumps, 'cause PhotoBucket is uploading slowly and I need to leave for my belated birthday dinner with my friends. =D)

Okay, here's the thing. In the course of my job, I get the opportunity to drive up Palomar Mountain every so often. You know, the one with "the telescope"? ;) Anyway, I have some GREAT pictures of it and wanted to share. The first batch is from April of 2007... the next batch, from January '08, two-and-a-half months after huge sections of the mountain were burned in yet another California wildfire =( and the last batch were taken last week (August '08) and show a little bit of the mountain on the mend. Enjoy.
This last one on the right here is looking down at the Harrah's casino on the Rincon Indian reservation. ;)And these are my beautiful Mountain Dogwoods. The only bloom for a few weeks every spring... except for 2008. See my poor Dogwoods below after the fire decimated them. =( 
And now for some random pictures from the Weir Trail I usually walk when I'm up there....

My poor burned Dogwoods, now blackened sticks still clinging to life... somehow =( 
And now for the renewal. I don't have any images of the Dogwoods, but they still look pretty sad. =\ Here's hoping we get some rain soon to help this greenery return to its former glory. =D I did catch some cool storm clouds (not much rain in them though =\ ) and lots of little flowers coming back.

LOVED this panel! Nathan Fillion is SUCH a hunk... and VERY expressive, too. =P Made a collage to show that, but I'll post that last. ;) For now, Joss Whedon and sibs *lol*, Nathan, Neil Patrick Harris and Felicia Day. =D

The panel was moderated by geek-tastic series writer Martin Gero *snicker* He was really adorable and did VERY well in front of the 3,000+ crowd. *thumbs up* Kudos for a job well-done! =D This panel was also my first exposure to Robert Picardo (formerly of Star Trek Voyager) and he was highly entertaining as well. Good panel all around.
Got some good shots of Jewel Stait (formerly of Firefly ;)) and just HAVE to make sure she's set apart from the rest. She's SOOOOO pretty. *sigh*
And since I have such an extensive collection of Joe Flanigan images, I'll post those in the next entry. His "thunkers" will want a post ALL to themselves that they can drool over. ;)

These aren't really in order, but I'd feel bad if I didn't post one picture that included James Callis and Trisha Helfer. *blushes* It'll become REALLY obvious where my main attention was. *eg*
Obviously, Tahmoh came out a bit late to join the panel, but he had everyone cracking up, too.
Katee told us a story about shooting with Tahmoh and the director apparently saying something about him shooting like a girl, so....
Oh and apparently there was an ongoing joke on-set that no one knew Michael Trucco's first name (hell, even the Trucco Tramps call him Trucco! LOL) so he tried to impress it on everyone. ;)
And HEY! Did you know KEVIN-FREAKIN'-SMITH was the moderator? =o He asked some GREAT questions. ;) Like "what was the most 'bad-ass' moment in the show for you?" which lead to the above-mentioned "shooting like a girl" story. =D

Tahmoh Penikett and Eliza Dushku were cracking up... mostly at stuff Joss Whedon said, but there were a few choice words by them, too. ;) "Career brassiere" anyone? ROFLMAO!!!
"Camera war" with Tahmoh. =D He took pictures at the BSG panel, too.
Tahmoh also had to explain to Eliza what it meant when someone mentioned the "glowing spine"... I think she was quite intrigued with the answer. ;)

For those not used to Live Journal, my most recent entries are at the top of the page, the first ones at the bottom... so my learning curve seems pretty odd. =P
Next up are pix from the Stargate Continuum panel. =D This was my TOP priority, 'cause of The Browder *eg* but I'll start you guys off with some Shanksy first. The first panel I went to was for the upcoming show Kings, but only because Greg Grunberg was moderating it. *blushes* What? He's my teddy bear. =P

And this is the kid who's the freakin' STAR of the show, Chris Egan. What a HOTTIE! =O
